  • Gabriel Moraes

Brazilian born and bred, based in Melbourne, Australia | Exploring uncharted territories of techno, Brazilian sound explorer Gabriel Moraes approaches his expeditions in a noticeably unique way. Sitting restlessly between the heated Berlin style, progressive, tech house and a good measure of rave, the tone is catching on, eyes widen and ears prick when the robust sound rumbles through. Now calling Melbourne home, Gabriel has planted his feet firmly in the renowned Australian festival and club culture, with headline slots at Earth Frequency, Subsonic Music, Rabbits Eat Lettuce, Dragon Dreaming, Elements and Bohemian Beatfreaks.

  • WOOF DOOF EVENTS are all about hosting high quality music events which showcase both local and interstate talent whilst providing a platform to advocate animal welfare issues and promote education and awareness. The driving force behind our events is to raise as much money as we possibly can to support the various animal shelters, rescues and NFPs who devote their lives to saving dogs all across Australia who are in desperate need of a second chance - giving them hope of a finding a forever home in a loving and nurturing environment. Through our program of fundraising events, the Woof Doof crew hope to provide ongoing emotional and financial support to these organisations who are constantly dealing with the aftermath of horrendous human behavior and mistreatment of dogs be it via gross exploitation, violence, callous abandonment or irresponsible pet ownership. The epidemic is all too real and these frontline warriors fight relentlessly for thousands of dogs every year, day in day out. It’s not uncommon for shelters and rescues to be completely owned and operated by volunteers with minimal (if any) assistance from the Government to do so. They rely solely on donations, bequests and kindhearted humans to help keep their shelters/rescues (and dogs) alive. Our fiery passion for music, coupled with our unwavering commitment to our beloved 4-legged buddies, creates a genuine, unique experience, each time. Our events feature a smorgasbord of talent including a swag of Australia's finest underground DJs, along with a multitude of accomplished and gifted performance artists. Every performer donates their time and talent to our events in a show of unyielding support for our plight and we love and thank them so dearly for doing so. On behalf of our 'motley crew' we hope that you will join us at our next Woof Doof Event and join our crusade for the love and protection of dogs.
