DJ FRESH FUNKY S
Born in 1975, Fresh Funky S started hopping around Paris with a bag of beats when he became the owner of his first set of decks, in 1997. A hint of House, a pinch of Funk, liberally sprinkled with Techno, he's managed to hold on to his unique style throughout the years, a rhythm that enchants the floor. During the time of his first sets at the Dépanneur and the Pigalles he also paced the numerous Flyman parties, before moving on to Les Bains Douches, the Delaville Café, the Batofar Terrace and the Léopard, the Troisième Lieu or Yono. Starting in 2005 to 2010, he took his style abroad. First, he spun in San Francisco and in Hong Kong Mid of 2010 he has moved to HK and has started to spin in few clubs & parties regularly In 2012 he has started a series of events called “Now is the Time” in collaboration with Simon Templa and tries to promote the most famous local DJ scene until now. • Social Room is a loft-style, multi-functional flexible 2100 sq. ft. event space in Central, Hong Kong, ideally located next to the Central Escalator. We serve light lunch from M-F and have regular resident DJs playing until late on weekends. From the crew behind Bassment, one of Hong Kong's most beloved spaces for underground music, comes a new concept designed to expand and enhance the underground experience. The Social Room, perched above the Stanley St. market in Central, has two distinct but conjoined areas: a relaxed bar area with seating, harking back to the outdoor terrace at Bassment; and a large dancefloor area with a raised stage and DJ booth. With an improved soundsystem, double the floor space, and a third floor view, we will continue to bring the vibe of Bassment to Hong Kong in a brand new space. In addition to acting as a home for underground DJs and bands, the open space is also available to rent for corporate and private events, pop-up events, and art exhibitions. Lunch is also served during the week from Monday to Friday, 12pm - 3pm, with affordable pasta lunch sets and other goodies.
