about
After migrating to Sydney from his native Japan, Shigeki discovered his passion for house music when he hit the clubs on Sydney's famous Oxford Street scene in 1999. This experience was the catalyst for a sea-change and within a few short years was born one of the hottest stars on Sydney's club music scene after scoring weekly residencies at Sydney's legendary venues, Stonewall and Midnightshift.

He established himself as a credible master of the decks week after week, and he was admired for his impeccable technical mixing and inspiring track choices. Shigeki soon graduated to larger-scale events as his unique, dynamic sound captured the hearts and attention of both local and interstate promoters. Before long, Shigeki had some of the Southern Hemisphere's biggest events under his belt: Sydney Mardi Gras Party, Sleaze Ball, Big Queer Nation, Harbour Party, Inquisition and Toybox to name but a few.

IIn 2005, Shigeki made his international debut at Happy in Singapore; this spurred his subsequent relocation to the island nation three years later. Having relocated to one of Southeast Asia's nightlife hubs, Shigeki grew his international following: he has been a regular guest DJ for Atlantis Cruises and has spun in Kuala Lumpur, Jakarta, Bali, Hong Kong, Osaka, Beijing, Shanghai and Taipei. In Singapore, he has graced the decks at Play, Rewind, House, The Vault, White Rabbit, Tanjong Beach Club, Stereolab, Privé, Velvet Underground and me@OUE.

Shigeki played at KU DÉ TA Singapore as a resident from 2010 to 2012, which was followed by Kyō from 2013 to 2017. His current residencies include W Singapore Sentosa Cove and PS.Cafe ASH Park. Over his 15-year career, he has played alongside a wide spectrum of artists including Francois K, Miguel Migs, Kiko Navarro, The Carry Nation, Horse Meat Disco and Robert Owen. Shigeki's music styles are always soulful and groovy, and he plays a wide spectrum of genres; from deep and soulful house to tech house; from nu disco to classic disco and disco re-edits with playfulness.

Outside of the DJ console, Shigeki compiles playlists for bars and restaurants, and edits music for theatre and event performances. He was also in the cast of The Hossan Leong Show in 2009, 2010 and 2011, and MediaCorp Suria's 90an Gerek! in 2010 and 2013.

  • Amber H

Amber’s origin story starts in Karachi Pakistan, before moving to the USA – then relocating to Singapore in 2011. Back in 2002 when she lived in Washington DC, Amber's passion grew deeper for electronic music listening to the sounds of Deep Dish during their residency at Club Nation. She traveled weekends to NYC, just to catch the dynamic duo, Danny Tenaglia and Danny Howells at clubs like Vinyl. And that was the start of her love affair with vinyl and DJing. Amber has been hitting the decks ever since 2002, and is keen to explore new grounds, at home, and around the world, with fresh cutting-edge electronic music that is sure to get the vibes right and the crowd ready! She spends her time exploring traditional as well as digital mediums – such as Ableton Live, external effects, and drum machines. Incorporating live elements here possible, Amber still keeps it techy with chugging bass lines and hypnotic Grooves. She has supported artists like &Me, Lalou, Rey & Kjavik, Nakadia, Stimming, and Ame. She has also played at the Afrikaburn in South Africa, the Quest Festival in Vietnam, and has traveled and played in other countries around Southeast Asia. Her mix was also featured on Frisky Radio's show labeled "Frisky Loves Singapore"

  • Emma SS

Hailing from Canada, and now based in Singapore Emma tells her stories via a lexicon that’s instinctively comprehensible amongst those who call the dance floor their home. She’s eloquent with her glossary of grooves, spanning the expansive territories of house in both uplifting and tech-centric forms, indie dance with its vivacious synthy flavours, as well as techno that can be spiritually melodic or progressively thumpy. Chuggy basslines, mesmerising hooks and catchy vocals are elements she tends to dip into, creating a diverse palette that never stagnates.

  • MIDLAND

̸BIOGRAPHY Midland is a DJ, Producer and Record label owner from London. Through his productions, DJ sets and record labels, Midland's output comes across as unassuming and surprising in equal measure, at once subtle, refined and totally raucous. As a Producer Midland’s style has nimbly evolved from one record to the next. From his debut release with Pearson Sound (aka Ramadanman) “Your Words Matter” via “Trace” to his most recent EP “The Alchemy of Circumstance” he has explored a vast range of styles whilst managing to keep a core sound that is truly his own. In 2013 he started his label “Graded" to focus on releasing his own music, “Archive 01”, “Drumtrak” and “Blush” all followed. This was followed by the arrival of another label, ReGraded, in which he explored the art of sampling with “Double Feature” and culminating with the release of “Final Credits” a sleeper hit that went on to be voted Mixmags song of the year in 2016. His label InterGraded was launched in 2018 focussed on releasing music by new or emerging artists. He has remixed, amongst others, Dua Lipa, The Chemical Brothers, St Vincent and Darkstar. He helped with production on Jessie Wares “Save A Kiss” alongside James Ford. It is arguable however that he has made his biggest impact with the other side of his craft: DJing. Delivering his kaleidoscopic taste with a mixing technique that nods as much to his British lineage as it does to a smoother European style, he has distinguished himself with an ability to switch styles in a way that always feels totally natural. From the carpeted dance floors at Free Rotation, via regular slots at Berlin’s “Berghain” and “Panorama Bar”, Offenbachs’ “Robert Johnson”, Glastonbury’s “NYC Downlow”, San Francisco’s “Honey Soundsystem”, London’s “Fabric”, “Horse Meat Disco” and "Chapter 10" or any of his “All Night Long” sets at “Phonox” he is able to play in a way that shows a deep understanding of the space and what is needed to bring it alive. In the words of Resident Advisor “there’s a perfect record for every moment, and he usually has it”. His recorded mixes have become word of mouth favourites and in 2016 he won “Essential Mix of the Year” for his entry into the series. In 2017 he recorded “Fabriclive94”, described by Pitchfork as “one of the year's best” and earned compilation of the year from Mixmag who featured him as their first cover of 2018. Fact Magazine said of the mix "Quietly, and without much fanfare, Midland has grown into one of the world’s best DJs. Fabriclive 94 is a testament to what makes him so great”. The only takeaway from these accolades is that Midland is a man still very much exploring and honing his craft and one of the key reasons that his ascent has never felt forced or manufactured. ̸SELECTED DISCOGRAPHY http://www.discogs.com/artist/1202712-Midland
