̸BIOGRAPHY Sheffield-born now Manchester-based Evan Majumdar-Swift is a young DJ/Producer embodying the renegade spirit of his native Steel City spanning genres, sounds and attitudes. Growing up amongst the bleep legends of the rolling Sheffield hills, Evan began nurturing his Ableton sorcery skills at an early age. At just 18 years old, he released his first EP 'Provisional Electronics' on CPU Records, quickly followed by his *debut* DJ set at the Boiler Room label showcase. Fast forward a bit and Evan's graduated from techno wunderkind to one of the most multi-faceted producers around. His 2019 debut album 'Excitable, Girl' saw him push the boundaries of experimental electro to include italo-tinged euphoric arpeggios, bittersweet cascading piano melodies and, of course, absolutely massive drops. With a range of dates around the UK & abroad, this young protégé is certainly one to watch. ̸SELECTED DISCOGRAPHY Provisional Electronics [00111101] Excitable, Girl [01000111]

  • Bluetoof

Despite having garnered a steadfast reputation for his eclectic, fluid sets packed with hearty bass and forward-thinking percussion, alongside support from a consortium of the underground's brightest — Bluetoof is anything but riding the wave of his success. Instead, this South London-based DJ, producer, and label head is an artist in a state of metamorphosis, looking to redefine his work and explore his own identity. Born in Scotland, but raised in Kent, Bluetoof - aka Ben Farjani - was exposed to an "eclectic mix" of music from his parents, who had worked within Glasgow's clubbing industry in the '90s — US garage, house, R&B, "lots of hip hop.

  • Bruce (Larry McCarthy)

̸BIOGRAPHY Larry McCarthy creates postmodern rhythmic drama at the burning intersection of UK dance music. Bruce's music operates at all speeds without any predictable formula. Some tracks stutter and thump with cybernetic power; others flutter and glide in poignant shades of blurring colour. It’s a fragmented, low-frequency meltdown, evocative shimmers of light emanating from the cracks. Sometimes what you're listening to is suddenly scraped off and wiped away, leaving only silence as you blink in disbelief. With a deep understanding of tension and release - essential for thrills and head-spins - McCarthy has been a fundamental force in the continuing output of the pioneering label collective Hessle Audio since his 2014 debut. Since its inception, McCarthy has been also a close affiliate of the Timedance label, where he’s continued to expand his sound, along with Livity Sound and Hemlock. McCarthy’s hyperactive and surreal humour allows him to recreate the process of converting experimental abstraction into exhilarating energy when he’s performing as a DJ. His nuanced dancefloor approach has already taken him on tour as far as Japan. He further explores his own marriage of heartfelt music and daft humour via his monthly Noods Radio show, ‘Get Loose! With Bruce,’ coyly lassoing together various sonic phenomena that inspire his music. McCarthy’s debut album is only the third artist album to be released on Hessle Audio. It was very successful in amplifying his powers to change the shape of electronic music through deep, hi-tech self-expression.

  • Denham Audio

̸BIOGRAPHY 16v hatchback breakbeat NRG kickin’ it out of your Kenwood system. Part of the Club Glow collective In a blizzard of breakbeats, b-lines and acid hooks, Denham Audio have brought new urgency and vitality to the modern rave scene. The sound they’re pushing is rooted in the legacy of UK hardcore, but those foundational sounds and styles are given a thorough spruce up, feeding into the buoyant areas of exploration happening between 140 and 160 BPM. Releases have been coming thick and fast, from early outings on Nineteen Ninety Four and Artifice through to a blistering run on WNCL, Frendzone! (alongside Violet), Lobster Theremin, Sneaker Social Club and more. Across these 12”s you can hear every shred of influence spilling out – from the upfront hardcore and jungle through to hip hop and reggae, and beyond the confines of music into sci-fi and anime. As well as a relentless charge of rave-ready EPs and DJ sets spanning the UK and as far as Seoul, Tokyo, Berlin, New York and elsewhere, the Denham Audio pressure also piles into the Club Glow collective. Alongside Borai, LMajor and Mani Festo, Denham are presenting a communal front which first manifested as a tape series and now spans 12” drops, a monthly session on Balamii Radio and coordinated blitzes on appropriately sized dancehalls. It’s a natural extension of Denham’s production endeavours, succinctly captured on the SNKRX05 12” as “16v hatchback breakbeat NRG kickin’ it out of your Kenwood system.” We couldn’t have put it better ourselves.

  • Special Request

Special Request is the new rugged alias for house and techno stalwart Paul Woolford. Inspired by the unruly conventions of UK pirate radio stations, this project captures the raw energy and diversity of the illegal airwaves and uses this as a springboard of inspiration for a series of heavyweight productions that span from murky house through darkside techno to chaotic eye-of-the-storm hardcore/jungle tear-outs. The end results are incendiary.

  • Stenny

Rising in Turin and currently based in Munich, Stenny debuts with his first 12″ Solstice Deity on the Zenker Brothers label Ilian Tape in 2013. Mainly inspired by the spirit of 90’s Techno and IDM, his contribution as a producer could be described as club focused but not merely functional. The dusty and stepping drum programming, often contrasting with the dense, atmospheric surrounding, is one of the peculiarities of his style, which in fact, references often to the Jungle or Hardcore era, but basically aims to evolve with no genre boundaries. As a Dj he maintains a similar, versatile and open minded approach, ranging between contemporary and classic but forward thinking club music.
