about
Embrace the spirit of Friday nights as you make your way back to Headquarters. Venture Upstairs and let Gonno guide you through an extraordinary odyssey of soundscapes. Join us as you experience an unforgettable night of pure bliss on the dance floor!

Gonno is without a doubt an integral part of the current wave of house and techno in Japan. His releases have not only appeared on reputable local labels but have also made their way humbly over to the continent.

Gonno always manages to bring an acidy and melodic flavour to his DJ and live sets while still staying true to his house and techno roots. Without fail he draws clubbers in with eclectic sounds and the lost art of storytelling behind the decks/machines.

Gonno’s release “Acdise #2” on International Feel Recordings in 2011 was his breakpoint to get a wider audience, even before its release the EP had frequent play from so many DJs such as Laurent Garnier, James Holden, Francois Kevorkian, Tim Sweeney and Todd Terje, and still continues to be a phenomenal long seller. It’s no exaggeration to say “Acdise #2” is the year’s best Japanese techno tune.

In 2015, Gonno released his first full-length solo album in a decade, titled "Remember The Life Is Beautiful," which garnered him wider recognition and praise from the international audience. He also remixed Jeff Mills' "Light Of Electric Energy," featured on Mills' album "Where Light Ends." Gonno's recent works include the solo EP "The Noughties" on Tim Sweeney's Beats In Space Records and a collaborative EP with Nick Höppner titled "Fantastic Planet" on Ostgut Ton.

Over the past three years, while touring various countries, Gonno has engaged in remix projects for labels like Cocktail D'Amore Music and Butter Sessions. He collaborated with Japanese drummer Masumura, releasing their album "In Circles" in 2018 on P-vine Records Japan, which explores the fusion of electronics and afro-jazzy drums, resonating with South London's new vibes as recognized by Giles Peterson on BBC Radio in the UK.

In 2019, Gonno continued his energetic DJ touring, including performances at Dekmantel Selectors Croatia, Berghain, and venues in Canada and the US.

  • HAAN A.

Introducing Haan – the techno underdog of Singapore. With almost a decade’s worth of experience behind the console, it was his passion for vinyl records that kick started the self-taught DJ’s career. Since then, Haan has developed a unique style of house and techno music that’s brimming with groove, taking him across the deepest and darkest corners of the island’s clubbing circuit. Describing his sound as dark yet melodic, Haan quotes the likes of TIN MAN, Redshape, Locked groove and Broken English Club as his musical inspiration. Staying true to his style—one that transcends genres—he brings it in a big way to the most discerning of dance floors. Recent years saw Haan on an upward trajectory, steadily paving his way to become a household name in the local nightlife scene. Haan caught the attention of TropicLab and was invited to join the collective shortly after. He was also on the bill for Super 0’s Openair Festival and things quickly escalated thereafter. Haan markedly grew into his own; he created and ran his own nights - #ashtag at Kilo and LeftBank at Cato – to showcase emerging talents as well as veterans who hadn’t been behind the decks for some time. He is also a Promoter/DJ for local label Midnight Shift and has played alongside deck legends such as Berghain’s resident Answer Code Request, Kink, Deetron, Xhin, Oxia, Spencer Parker, Oliver Deutschmann, Surgeon on top of a list of talented DJs and producers from around the globe. With all that had been accomplished thus far, there is no doubt that Haan looks set to stay in the circuit and fly the Singapore flag high across shores.
