about
We welcome back one of Melbourne's rising stars, Luke Alessi, to the Other People stage. Alessi is no stranger to creating music that moves dance floors, and with productions on labels from Mobilee to Upon Access, the next 12 months is shaping to be a big one for Luke. Even though he is a relative newcomer to Australian dance music, the general consensus is he might be one of our most promising musical exports. In support is a host of our favourites: Revolver's Henry Who, curator extraordinaire Ham, the explosive sounds of Willem, and Area 3000's Sindy, who will be playing her debut set for Novel. Following Luke's last sold-out showcase with us, we'd advise securing a spot fast.

  • Henry Who

Melbourne all nighters, Chapel St breakfast discos and doof-arenas are Henry Who’s penchant when called to arms. A DJ technically adept as he is versatile, he can be seen with a couple of USBs, or even a tote bag of 45’s residing at Melbourne’s institutional clubs. Showcasing in late night time slots has evolved into support slots alongside DJ Pierre, Matthew Herbert, Toro y Moi, Floating Points and Seth Troxler, as well as big stage presence at events including Piknic Electronik, Babylon Festival, Future Music Festival, Best of Both Sides Festival and S.A.S.H. (SYD). While broadening his repertoire, Who evolved into roles that link him closer to Melbourne’s electronic music community. You might be that 1 in 3 million that gets a “Lets do it” reply from Henry, fulfilling his role as the Booking Agent for Melbourne’s club Migliore, Revolver Upstairs. He has now founded Revolver's launch into a recording label (Revolver Upstairs Records) working as Label Manager in the world of music distribution.

  • Willem

With a unique sound that blends electro, tribal textures, breaks and trance influences Willem is building a name for himself as a DJ of note. In a relatively short career, he has played at Beyond the Valley, Let Them Eat Cake, XE54, Revolver, Glamorama and Brown Alley to name a few, and has been booked for supporting duties for international artists including Ben UFO, Tijana T, Oliver Huntemann, Huxley, and more. Willem also makes up one half of the Gold Haus directing team. Anyone with a passing interest in Melbourne clubland might’ve heard of the brand, that has been hosting successful events around town at hotspot venues like Section 8 and Glamorama as well as secret warehouse locations
