Born and raised in Gera in Germany, Dana Ruh soon found her way to the capital city of Berlin. Since then, she ha been on a constantly evolving musical journey. In the early years, her sound was rooted in techno and landed most often on the label Brouqade Records, which she established in 2007. The label is still running too, and celebrated its 10th Year Birthday Celebration entitled 'Past/Present/Future' that emphatically encapsulated all that's great about the label. Aside from Brouqade, Dana's music has also featured on the liked of Autoreply, Work Them Records, Howl and Underground Quality. It was Jus Ed's label where she released her stunning debut album. 'Naturally' in 2014, an LP that introduced Dana to a whole new audience and showcased her pure house sound with some distinctions. In 2017 she started her new Label 'Cave Recordings' that showcased her wide musical range mainly rooted in House with old school flavor.

David Harness is one of the most popular DJ/producers in the San Francisco Bay Area club scene. He has been described as ‘a man who lives, breathes and emanates everything that is beautiful about deep house music and classic garage.’ David is considered a ‘rising star’ within the dance community. As a military brat, David Harness traveled the world extensively during his childhood. ‘Regardless of which country I was in, I always heard American music, namely R&B. This little bit of familiarity really helped me feel secure in a lot of different places.’ With influences varying from Barry White and the Love Unlimited Orchestra, Harold Melvin and the Blue Notes, Quincy Jones, the Jackson Five, Stevie Wonder, Parliament Funkadelic, the Isley Brothers and First Choice, it is easy to see why funk and soul have always been strong elements in his sound. In 1990, David began DJ’ing at the After Dark in his hometown of Monterey, California. As his popularity grew past the boundaries of Monterey, he was invited to establish a residency at Tilt and the Sound Factory in San Francisco. In 1994, David opened and DJ’ed at the hip and popular club Lift at Club Dv8 in San Francisco. His success as a club DJ led to a DJ spot on commercial radio. In 1994, David joined the popular radio show Your Mama’s House on the San Francisco Bay Area’s number one radio station KMEL FM. Your Mama’s House was the only ‘true’ house mix show on any major radio station in Northern California. As part of the Your Mama’s House crew, David played a key role in exposing the masses to House Music in the San Francisco Bay Area. In 1995 David kicked off a seven year residency at San Francisco ‘s legendary Club Universe — San Francisco’s hottest Saturday night party. At Club Universe, David had the opportunity to play with many New York’s legendary DJs like Frankie Knuckles, Tony Humphries, Little Louie Vega, Tedd Patterson, Dave Morales, Danny Teneglia, London’s Ricky Morrison, Los Angeles’ Marques Wyatt, San Francisco’s Miguel Migs, Mark Farina and Kaskade — just to name a few. His growing popularity accelerated David’s natural progression into production. In 1996, David was selected to spearhead the studio production for a national marketing campaign for the McDonald’s Deluxe Burger. Also in 1996, David begin his ongoing residency at The End Up Sunday T-Dance — San Francisco’s longest running dance party. In 1998, he released a CD for Universe Sounds and Twisted America, ‘Welcome to the Universe’. This innovative CD, recorded live from Club Universe, reflects San Francisco’s unique ‘sound’ and introduced the world to David Harness. Recognizing his talent, Twisted America quickly signed him to produce his first single, ‘Get It Together’, for a Twisted America compilation entitled ‘A Little Bit of the Old, A Lot of the New’. David also started his ongoing residency at Fag Fridays in San Francisco in 1998 where he is still rockin’ the floor. In 1999, David started Taboo in San Francisco’s Mission District. Taboo started out of David’s love of House music and his desire to provide a showcase for Bay Area talent as well as internationally known DJs. This ongoing party attracts a loyal crowd of househeads from around the San Francisco Bay Area and the globe to the weekly blending of spirit and soul. DJ M3 (Makes Me Move),has had a significant impact on the San Francisco music scene and spreads his mixture of Disco, House, Techno & Tech House for the movers. Manny staked his everlasting claim in the Bay Area music community in 1990 as a key promoter and DJ, roles for which he took on the abbreviated appellation of M3, short for “Makes Me Move”. Begun as a fluid, down-tempo approach, M3 eventually evolved his sound to the expression of house and techno bangers he is known for today. Manny quickly developed his own legendary party brand Green Gorilla Lounge and progressed to sharing the decks with industry icons with bookings across the globe. This further developed Manny’s acumen for rhythm and cultural finesse, priming him for several collaborations with Phil ‘Rene’ Collis of Bachelor’s of Science and setting the stage for their alliance as the stealthy duo Sleight of Hands. Having seen releases through his own label Green Gorilla Lounge, as well as Smoke ’N’ Mirrors, Om, Sirenum, and Chillin’ Records. M3 has notably performed at the San Francisco Treasure Island Music Festival 2014, Outsidelands 2013, and Coachella 2013 as Sleight of Hands. Juana joined the Discwoman roster in 2017 and is a founding member of the DC QT BIPOC collective NOXEEMA JACKSON since 2021. Juana originally hails from the city of Chicago. She started out like most, as a random kid on the dance floor every week at places like The Generator and Boom Boom Room, and has been DJing house, techno, and disco parties since roughly 2001. Juana moved to DC in 2003 and began hosting weekly live internet radio shows on HandzOnRadio (Baltimore) and Cyberjamz (Tampa) and playing parties in the DC deep house scene, upping her skills alongside legendary DJs like Sam “the Man” Burns,” and at clubs including Red and the DC Sanctuary. Juana started obsessively collecting disco and early house records in the late 90s and eventually developed an undying penchant for straight-ahead techno and darker shades of Chicago underground acid and deep house of the 80s and 90s. Over the past several years, Juana has made her mark in DC as one of only a handful of techno DJs, as a member of the founding squad of the Sequence collective, led by Ron Jackson. Sequence was the first underground party committed to consistently showcasing local and global techno DJs and crafting a dark, dangerous, sometimes hellishly uncomfortable party vibe hitherto unavailable in the DC area. As a producer, her first release “Discipline Issues” was released as part of a compilation on Katie Rex’s Bound label, and her first independent EP “Floating” landed in 2020. Her most recent EP “Peaks” was released in July 2021, and she also appeared on the TRAX ONLY Soft Touch compilation in spring of 2021 and the Neighborhoods Vol. 1 compilation on World Building in fall of 2021. She is currently working on her first full-length album project for release in 2023.

Kangding Ray’s complex sound aesthetic tests boundaries, evolving tirelessly in its exploration of texture, rhythm, and sound design. Letellier’s foundations in rock and musique concrete give his music a vitality and uniqueness that has won fans the world over, from discerning avant-garde–electronica listeners, all the way to devoted clubbers. Those who have been following Letellier since his debut album, 2006’s Stabil, will recognize not only his meticulous and constantly developing approach to sound design, but also the conceptual gravity behind his releases. Through a string of recent EP’s and albums, culminating with the critically acclaimed “Solens Arc”, KR showed his ability to keep his artistic approach while delivering direct and powerful club-leaning tracks and darkly cinematic soundscapes. On 2015’s “Cory Arcane”, he pushed the limits of his sound even further. Relinquishing standard rhythmic structures and conventional tonal models, he delivered what is perhaps his most sophisticated release yet; a raw and visceral universe, allowing a more fluid dialogue between soul and machines. 2017’s “HYPER OPAL MANTIS” released on Stroboscopic Artefacts heralds a new era for Kangding Ray, where he explores the tension between the natural and artificial, the body and mind, which are central themes in electronic music in general, and Techno in particular. Marco Shuttle has always achieved a lot with a little, and that is the singular aesthetic that stands him apart. His cinematic techno sounds are unusually organic: they build pressure in subtle ways and his meticulous grooves never fail to take listeners on a trip to somewhere new and exciting. As a result of this, he has become a firm favourite amongst the techno cognoscenti and has released on some of the most revered labels of the day, from famed New York club The Bunker’s new label to Peter van Hoesen’s untouchable Time To Express via Clone SOS and his regular home, Eerie Records. Italian born but London based, where he also gained his MA in Fashion at St Martin’s. What ties his creative work together is a focus on abstract yet organic texture and the same thing defines his tightly woven DJ sets from fabric to Berghain to Labyrinth in Japan. His eclectic cerebral sound takes cues from jazz and musique concrete as much as it does from acid house and Detroit techno.

In 2011, Gardner co-founded Direct To Earth, a party and event series. Through his work with DTE, Gardner has hosted, promoted, and DJed beside some of the world's most well-regarded techno talents — in dirty warehouses, hazy afterparties, and top-tier clubs. His DJ sets run through the gamut of techno in its purest forms, inspired by the heavy, synth-forward sounds of Detroit and Berlin classics and new-school players from the Netherlands, Latin America, and the U.S. Midwest. He focuses on driving rhythms and intricate, long-form mixing — hypnotic blends that provide just the right amount of subtlety to whipped-up dancers. Gardner has also been producing his own material for years, and in 2018, he released his first 12", an EP entitled "Broken Knives & Pinkies" on Bay Area imprint Excise. As a record collector, DJ, promoter and producer, Craig has been passionately involved in underground music culture for over 30 years. When asked “What do you spin?” Minneapolis artist, Craig Lambert (aka Focus) has always answered “Records.” Craig started collecting records over 40 years ago and has spent nearly three decades passionately sharing those records and his love of music with dance floors across the Midwest. Through hundreds of club, lounge, and warehouse appearances, Craig and his crew, The Disco Devils, have carved a unique niche in the crowded, competitive DJ culture. With his simple “2 turntables and a mixer” approach to DJing and his vast knowledge of music history, Craig is able to seamlessly weave the old with the new, creating cohesive sets spanning multiple genres and generations. With a “focus” on the roots of modern dance music from the ‘70s, ‘80s, and ‘90s, Craig’s collection of 12” singles is world class. Before each gig he spends hours browsing his archives, pulling hundreds of potential candidates for the upcoming session. He ultimately whittles the selections down to a few crates of records that will allow him to create a unique musical experience, custom tailored to each event. Music production, a study that began for him over twenty years ago, has now moved to the forefront with live performances and releases under the moniker “MMC” (aka Midnight Music Club). Craig’s timeless yet distinctly “old school” sound is reminiscent of early Chicago and Detroit pioneers, with a blend of deep house, techno and electro that is uniquely his own. 2017 saw the vinyl release of his first published work on Chicago’s “Descendants of the Deep” label. In 2018 he is honored with a forthcoming solo EP on Headphoniq, another highly regarded Chicago publisher where he is label mates with some of the most respected producers in underground dance music history.

Mike Parker’s experimental and ritualistic approach sets him apart from the rest and in a time of over-saturation he is still one of those few artists whose sound you can spot in a heartbeat. For 20 plus years, he has perfected a unique interpretation of techno, instantly recognisable to contemporary audiences, which has earned him a legendary global status inspiring the likes of Donato Dozzy and many of his peers for decades now. Mike first stepped onto the scene in ‘97 with two fiery EP’s that would set the tone for his future musical endeavours. The following year would see the birth of his label Geophone which became the outlet for his long-running series of 12” records and debut album which all played a pivotal role in establishing his sonic persona. Hard work doesn’t go unnoticed and after earning his stripes in the US Parker’s productions would cross the Atlantic and find themselves on some of Europe’s most established labels. Over the past ten years, the likes of Tresor, Semantica and Spazio Disponibile have all played host to a number of his EP’s while his second studio album found a home with the mighty Prologue back in 2013 to much acclaim. In 2019 he will relight the fire with his Geophone imprint and continue to leave his mark on techno by doing so. As a DJ, Parker rose through the mid-1990s as a mainstay in the US’s emerging warehouse party scene. His hypnotic, abstract and hard-hitting approach to performing earned him a highly respected reputation and further increased his devoted following. His wealth of experience in the booth has been acquired with regular performances across North America, Europe and Asia making Parker a well-seasoned underground veteran. From his humble beginnings to the present-day Mike Parker has amassed an impressive list of credentials paving his own lane with a unique style that breathes innovation yet honours the true values of techno. And after 20 years in the game, Mike is still a dominant figure that continues to carve his own niche in the ever-expanding world of electronic music.

SOUND // VISION I’m a music producer, DJ and the founder of my label, Black Catalogue. My passion for all facets of dance music have made me one of the most versatile DJ’s you will hear. My journey thus far in the pursuit of an education in club culture has taken me from my hometown Los Angeles to San Francisco and then to Detroit and Berlin, the latter of which I now call home. In my DJ sets, you can hear me restlessly ranging between the worlds of Dark Disco, eclectic House, Dub and Deep Techno in a seamless fashion. In my mind, these blending visions force a conversation and energy exchange between myself and the dance floor. What often emerges is something new and unexpected. I have recorded music and created remixes for labels such as Hypercolour, Rekids, Planet-E, Classic, KMS, Cadenza, Blood of Thrones, 2MR and of course my own Black Catalogue imprint, among others. To date, Black Catalogue has 30 releases and counting. Outside of the club, my primary focus is on music production and my monthly residency at Refuge Worldwide. Sound, vision, energy and passion. Iranian born but California based Artist/DJ Mozhgan has been honing her dark arts on the decks for quite some time. In 2011 she started "We Are Monsters," a party to develop her passion for contemporary, dark, and mysterious dance floor sounds. Mozhgan is a sonic alchemist who’s musical languages traverse between mysterious planes and wondrous vortexes. Her singular technique focuses on uncanny juxtapositions of sound that seamlessly unify and project spiritual light, creating luminous pronunciations that voyage deep into the shadowy spaces of the subconscious. As an acolyte of the acidic temple, and founder of the We are Monsters gatherings, Mozhgan fearlessly confronts the constricting limits of the status quo while simultaneously rejecting them with arcane spells that defy time and space. By projecting hypnotic sound waves that rupture the mundane, her cosmic utterances permit extraterrestrial passages that venture beyond the tranquil pathways of familiarity.

Bill's move to Chicago in 1988 was crucial in the development of his DJ & Production career. Growing up in Miami, he had been involved in various parts of the music industry, from working at Flamingo Record Pool (run by Bill Kelly of WMC Fame), to playing guitar for the band "Life In Sodom" (80’s Synth/Goth Band). His interest in both House & Industrial music inspired him to make his move to the Windy City, and as far as timing, it couldn't have been any better. Bill quickly became involved in the night scene with residency at clubs like Shelter Nightclub, Crobar, & Smart Bar. Bill is a key figure in Chicago’s second wave of House & Techno producers. He’s considered an big influence by Dj's like Black Madonna, Kink, Axel Boman, & Matrixxman. His styles vary from current Detroit Techno & Chicago Acid, to rare House & Italo Disco tracks. Currently he frequents clubs like Panorama Bar in Berlin, and holds a weekly residency, as well as a monthly in Miami.

Nezzy Idy is an SF Bay Area musick practitioner, forged within the west coast mutant soundsystem scene. Performing live regularly since 2001, their androgynous sound often weaves together EBM inspired rhythms, cold synths, post-acid workouts, and heavily processed vocal atmospheres. Nezzy Idy has previously released music on Newroz Recordings, Roam, and most recently, Squirrels On Film. They have also been a longtime core member of the Katabatik music collective.

Real Girl is the moniker of Midwest-born and raised DJ and multi-media artist Josie Simon. Real Girl started DJ'ing at college in Ohio when the song-selectors that spun at the parties on campus all started to graduate, leaving a void that she felt compelled to fill. While house basements were Real Girl's preferred venue at the time, her DJ sets have been seen at above-ground college venues such as the Oberlin ‘Sco for events such as Queer Beers, at Oberlin music festival Pretty Fest (started by Sarah Snider ‘17) in 2018 and 2019, opening for Oberlin’s Solarity event in May of 2019, and as the mix-master for Oberlin’s slam poetry group OSLAM’s Grand Slam in Spring 2019. Her selections could also be heard for a semester in 2019 on 91.5 FM WOBC, Oberlin’s own college and community radio station, for her early Friday morning radio show TRANSMISSION. In the brief months between when she graduated and when the pandemic hit, her selections could be heard at DJ Lemz's DC party Sleaze, Slamdunkapher's Minneapolis party Purr, and the Janelovesu! single release party at New York's H0l0 Bar. She now runs a radio show on Verge.fm called Beat Conduit where you can hear a new Real Girl mix every first Friday of the month.

Minneapolis DJ & Producer Based out of Minneapolis, Ryote is an ever-evolving, genre bending selector and producer exploring the infinite haze of underground dance music. Defined by his imaginative and industrious attitude, he’s a founding member of the Kajunga imprint and co-conspirator with Detroit's Clave House. Featured on labels Always Human Tapes, Abstrakt Xpressions and Kajunga, Ryote’s releases thus far have fallen in realms of spaced-out techno, experimental ambient and leftfield house. As versatility is one of his priorities as a DJ, his sets expand anywhere from early morning atmospheres, psychedelic downtempo grooves to squiggly, party driving electro.

Sappho is a music selector and soul reflector. Their DJ'ing contributes to the soundtrack of the cosmic travels of nightlife. They relentlessly researches, expands on a narrative and exposes the listener to music they may have never heard but love. Sappho is a queer musical artist, event producer and co-owner of Koritsi Komma Records based out of Portland, Oregon. Currently, they are a resident DJ at Underground SF in San Francisco, Bottom Forty based on the West Coast, and the following nightclubs and party series in Portland, OR: No Request, NoFOMO, Opal Underground and The Eagle PDX. Harkening back to the most famous poet of antiquity who did not identify as a man, Sappho’s namesake has a strong connection to lesbian love and sensual empowerment. Much like the fabled name that they have built their base upon, they have often been the marginalized voice amongst a sea of male creatives. With over 20 years of involvement in the dance community, they are a mentor to queers and femmes in the craft of deejaying and a resource of underground nightlife culture. They have been changing the status quo with their deep research, guided by precise, almost librametric, methods, branching into new forms and combinations that weave an intricate modern day poetry for a current generation of souls, freeing them, to dance, to love, to feel - the way only a perfect stanza of poetry could elicit.

Live PA, Producer, DJ 1/2 of Otra Dek Amphiboly Records Equalizer Detroit Sard is a Live PA artist, DJ and promoter living in Chicago. His searing live hardware sets effortlessly blend Detroit techno, acid, and Persian rhythms to create dance music that is familiar but unmistakably new. 5 years spent in Detroit shaped Sard's sound and interest in event direction, co-founding the hypnotic techno-focused Amphiboly Records and throwing the late night A/V party series "Equalizer". Sard continues to promote in Chicago, with new series "Bent". Quickly becoming a mainstay in the North American techno world, Sard has his sights set on continuing to release with his favorite labels, and focusing on live set performance as his main public outlet.

Sean Murray is one of the few SF bay area originals still lurking in the underground. Raised on the bay area and outdoor and renegade parties of the early '90's, he's now in his prime, influencing new generations with his particular sound and style. Starting with SF house, he has infused Detroit, Stockholm, minimal, acid, and other sounds to create a deep, almost techno soul music with focus on basslines and vocals. This is epic story-telling at its best. Having residencies at venue's and parties such as SF's Sound Factory, Static, 111 Minna, Friends and Family, 1015 Folsom, and Pacificsound's Sunset events, he has perfected his mixing style with natural talent and deep passion for music. From creating a Renegade Soundsystem with his own gear in 1995, working with SF’s Infamous sunset crew, and now a resident at San Francisco's best house music weekly club night "Housepitality". He's got his thing nailed, and it shows every time. Tyrel was a mainstay of Chicago’s underground scene for years. He began mixing records in 1999. Soon later he landed a job at Gramaphone Records where he spent many years building his collection of vinyl. He spent 2007-2011 building his Acid Test residency at Smart Bar, which was an all vinyl dance party in Chicago. In 2009 he took a job working with Jeff Mills and helping Jeff with Axis Records. Tyrel moved to San Francisco in 2011 where he is now a resident DJ for Housepitality, Acid Test, and Fleurs Du Mal. In 2014 he started a project with Bryan Bai-ee called Secret Studio with releases on their own label called Secret Studio Records. His next venture is his new vinyl label with C.L.A.W.S. called Immortal Sin with the first release featuring I.B.M.

LA's sultans of sleaze The inception of WAREHOUSE PRESERVATION SOCIETY was less an intention than an imperative of their expression. It was only a matter of imperious time before Los Angeles residents, TK & Tavish, disseminated their own breed of funked-up industrial dancefloor energy. Their distinct musical resonance was automatic, and they leapt quickly to crafting remixes and original material for the global nightlife community. TK (formerly TK Disko) cut his teeth in San Francisco’s fervent underground of the 90s, and created a healthy sonic catalogue under the name Split Secs with partner Sonns. He has played more events than one can count, and thoroughly detonated dance floors the world over. TAVISH was born and raised within the Los Angeles music scene, adeptly transmuting from hip-hop to house & techno and back again. He has produced a wealth of records under different monikers and also collaborated with Sonns for a 12” for LA’s own ESP Institute. In recent years, the freshly-minted Warehouse Preservation Society released cuts on Rogue Cat Records and Machine Limited, and have landed remix works with such esteemed artists as Daniele Baldelli & DJ Rocca (ultimately sitting aboard DJ Harvey’s second Pikes Comp); plus Anton Klint & Artur 8, Romain FX, Mickey Van Seenus, and DJ Garth & Anthony Mansfield.
