about
There's no better way to welcome the weekend than to do it with a cold drink in hand and a dance. We'll keep the music playing as you gear up for some serious Friday night debauchery with Belda!

Belda is the brain behind NEVER TOO DISCO, one half of HDYLW? (How Do You Like Wednesday?) and A&R for Akamady Records, a home-grown Jakarta’s independent electronic music record label.

She was formerly known as the host of IMAGINARY VOYAGE Radio (I.V.R.) on 90hz.org along with San Francisco's legendary DJs, Jeno (Wicked Sound System/Back2Back) and Sunshine Jones (Dubtribe Sound System). As a music aficionado and records collector living in San Francisco, she was surrounded by many talented musicians/DJs and was very fond of the local music scene in California.

In 2009, she made her first appearance on 'Noise From The Void,' a radio show program hosted by DJ Jeno of Wicked Sound System. Being a frequent guest on 90hz.org shows, she was nominated by Jeno to have her own radio program on 90hz.org. Following an election by the 90hz community DJs was how she started her own show called 'IMAGINARY VOYAGE'. The first show aired in May 2010. It is broadcasted live every first Saturday of the month through 90hz.org.

NEVER TOO DISCO started out as a mixtape that was released in July 2013 by Belda, the former host of Imaginary Voyage Radio on 90hz.org. In 2014 Never Too Disco evolved into a small and intimate disco party in Jakarta; filling the crave for disco music, rock, electronic and related genres in between on the dance floor. The success of the party in Jakarta had led Never Too Disco to grow rapidly. Over the last two years, Never Too Disco had hosted parties in Singapore and Tokyo, Japan, featuring many of the local best DJs such as Ulysses of Mugic Sound System / SG, Jonathan Kusuma (I'm a Cliché), DJ Noa the resident of Oath bar in Tokyo, DJ Kent from Force of Nature / The Backwoods and KZA (Force Of Nature) from Japan.

HDYLW? (How Do You Like Wednesday?), a Jakarta based duo DJs, Gerhan & Belda, started their weekly "hangout" party every Wednesday night in Jakarta, Indonesia since 2016. They are also well known for their edits of obscure Japanese music published by Akamady Records.

Opening for Belda, Thugshop’s very own - Muto

Trust that Muto knows how to get a party going with a generous dose of uplifting house and feel-good disco. A prelude of intense, melodic flavour of house that will get you grooving to the latest sounds as the night fills your soul.

All night long on the grounds of Headquarters, Thugshop’s very own - Haan

A perfect combination of dark sombre groove and hypnotic stomps that will drive your soul to ecstatic relief. A night brimming with dizzying barrage of peaks and troughs, of tension and relief to usher an early start to the weekend.

  • HAAN A.

Introducing Haan – the techno underdog of Singapore. With almost a decade’s worth of experience behind the console, it was his passion for vinyl records that kick started the self-taught DJ’s career. Since then, Haan has developed a unique style of house and techno music that’s brimming with groove, taking him across the deepest and darkest corners of the island’s clubbing circuit. Describing his sound as dark yet melodic, Haan quotes the likes of TIN MAN, Redshape, Locked groove and Broken English Club as his musical inspiration. Staying true to his style—one that transcends genres—he brings it in a big way to the most discerning of dance floors. Recent years saw Haan on an upward trajectory, steadily paving his way to become a household name in the local nightlife scene. Haan caught the attention of TropicLab and was invited to join the collective shortly after. He was also on the bill for Super 0’s Openair Festival and things quickly escalated thereafter. Haan markedly grew into his own; he created and ran his own nights - #ashtag at Kilo and LeftBank at Cato – to showcase emerging talents as well as veterans who hadn’t been behind the decks for some time. He is also a Promoter/DJ for local label Midnight Shift and has played alongside deck legends such as Berghain’s resident Answer Code Request, Kink, Deetron, Xhin, Oxia, Spencer Parker, Oliver Deutschmann, Surgeon on top of a list of talented DJs and producers from around the globe. With all that had been accomplished thus far, there is no doubt that Haan looks set to stay in the circuit and fly the Singapore flag high across shores.

  • MUTO (2)

Just visualise a metropolis blanketed in austere ruin, coloured by an ominous soundtrack with a heart of iron and stone. Such is the harsh dimension introduced by Muto Masashi, a name that’s bobbed along the surface of the Singaporean electronic scene for some time now. After years of cutting his teeth in the local DJ circuit, the Japanese selector has finally released Ishi, his debut EP that translates his imagination and influences into these dystopian musical fantasies.
