about
Continuing on the slew of Japanese masters we have hosted at the club so far, on the 6th of April we have none other than techno sensei Wata Igarashi here for a rare Thursday night. The rich electronic music culture of Tokyo is reflected in Wata’s music, with “cosmic drama” summing up his psychadelic sound. Having frequented some of the biggest festivals and clubs around the world including Labyrinth, and released on highly respected labels such as Figure, Semantica, Time to Express, The Bunker NY, Omnidisc, Bitta and Midgar, this producer is no doubt a precise engineer with an in-depth understanding of energy and emotion. Aiming always for maximum impact in both his production and selection, Wata’s force is not to be undermined. We are honoured to welcome him for the first time in our space with TRI’s Marco Yu on support duty. Marco himself is an up-and-coming DJ known for his heavier techno sets weaved in with bits of house, minimal and electro palettes. A champion of the experimental and a passionate supporter of the scene, he has founded Utopia, a collective with an array of parties across the region. See you there!
