A regular inside the DJ booth of Pawnshop, Taipei - Gemnital used to live in Berlin and study to be a sound artist. Gemnital, who grew up inthe 90s, embarked on a musical journey ranging fromHip-Hop and R&B to rock, jazz, experimental music,exploring the realms of psychedelic, funk, and disco. As time went on, he delved deeper into various genres but eventually circled back to Mandarin golden melodies. During his studies in Leipzig, Germany, he found himself immersed in underground warehouse parties held in ruins and forests. Later in Berlin, he discovered his true self in a multitude of clubs and queer parties, mastering the art of creating and maintaining energy and ambiance within different spaces. Now back in Taipei, he is a regular DJ at Pawnshop and a regular member of the popular queer party "Hakone Hotspring" and "Homepleasure". On the dance floor, he aims to play without boundaries, seamlessly blending familiar and unfamiliar tracks picked from his diverse musical experiences, creating an atmosphere of pure dancefloor bliss. Recently, he has been exploring the intersection of Techno and House, seeking speed and exhilaration from genres like Hardgroove, and strives to craft sets that take the listeners on a captivating journey with well-defined peaks and transitions. Beyond his DJ persona, Gemnital is deeply involved in sound research and the field of sound art. He is a university lecturer and critic in the realm of sound art, and his personal sound walks and installation works have been showcased at art festivals such as Berlin's 48 Stunden Neukölln.

̸BIOGRAPHY TOSKA is the DJ pseudonym for Ting-Wei Hsu and roughly translates to “a vague restlessness, mental throes, yearning”… Twelve years ago, TOSKA began his relationship with underground electronic music. At that time, he embraced a wide variety of genres, including drum & bass, tribal, breakbeat and other forms of experimental music such as, ambient, dark techno, dub techno, industrial, and minimal. In 2014, TOSKA began performing at Taipei’s KORNER. In 2015, he was appointed as one of KORNER’s resident DJs, and has guest DJed in Tokyo, Seoul, Shanghai, Hangzhou and SMOKE MACHINE’s 2018 Organik Festival in Hualian.

Al Burro (London) first got interested in electronica back in 1994 when he first heard Jeff Mills’ Transmission 1. Drawn to the futuristic soundscape, he and a friend bought their first set of belt-driven decks back in 1995 and this began a longstanding affair with techno. After annoying the neighbours for a couple of years, they decided to branch out and start annoying people at private parties and smaller venues, and annoy them they did. But, with practice and time came a more well-rounded sound; after which, he took a 5-year sabbatical from DJing and took his turn on the dance floors around the world. Al Burro is equally at home in industrial warehouses as in ambient pastures. He is a firm believer in variations on a common theme: It's about the mood not the genre. Al cites as some of his influences: Gilles Peterson, Ninja Tunes, Mr Scruff, DJ Food, Jurassic 5, Radiohead, Jeff Mills, Dave Clarke, Derrick May, UR and the list goes on.

☿️ Intergalactic Mermaid ☿️ GiGi FM aka Giulia Fournier-Mercadante is a French/Italian force well and truly to be reckoned with. Born and raised in Paris, Gigi moved to New York in her teens after being awarded a dance scholarship at the NYC Ballet and Alvin Ailey where she studied and practiced dance at the highest level before moving onward to her current residence of London where she continues to make waves with her unique approach to Music, Sound, Dance and Art. It wasn’t long until she became a firm fixture of South-London’s close-nit music scene, taking part in organising parties in DIY spaces and DJing regularly across the city (with regular appearances at London’s revered ‘Make Me’ parties). Listing Donato Dozzy, Bjork, Function, Neel, Aleksi Perrälä, Pierre Henry, E. Satie and Suzanne Ciani to name a few among her musical influences, Gigi is as creative in the studio as she is on the decks. GiGi associates textures and colours to sounds within the music, giving her a unique approach to collecting, selecting, playing and making music and affording a natural ability to create atmospheres and ambience unlike many others. After playing two stand-out sets on Boiler Room in recent times, she is now about to embark on a Boiler Room club-tour covering some key UK and European cities, placing her among a select number of her musical piers. Add to this a fast-growing list of gigs and many more exciting projects in the making, the future looks very bright for GiGi FM indeed!

Jesse Chen is a fast rising talentuous Taiwanese Techno Dj. In the last years, he co- created P.A.B.P (Pleasure Always Bring Pain) with Sebastian Wu. Jesse is one of those who bring some freedom queerness, diversity and inclusivity in Taipei. Jesse play a tastefull techno without concession and promptly is talent was recognize and was on the spectrum formosa line up.

̸BIOGRAPHY Jing Lekker A pure creative, electronic live performer, Dj, composer and writer, European based, created in Taiwan. Discovering a passion for music from an early age whilst working in a jazz and classical music store in Taipei and collaborating on the LVI exhibition organised to raise awareness of vinyl alongside Jing Lekker's studies in graphic printing. In order to pursue her curiosity of music Jing Lekker realised she would have to leave her homeland and relocate to Europe. Following her life's natural path Jing Lekker cemented foundations through encounters along the way, shortly after arriving in Berlin Jing Lekker formed an electronic dream pop band "Polygothica" with close friend Dilijana. Jing Lekker is also part of the performance collective UNDO alongside Bifi Boy, Birds and Tapes, Dj Nytanata, Otto Oscar Hernandez Ruiz and visual artist Christian Starz, creating environments in various cities to host UNDO's experiments whilst also pursuing her solo music path which may be better described as a presenter of sound rather than being labelled a Dj or live performer. Jing Lekker is a writer of short fiction stories and poems. Jing Lekker expands "writing is a part of me I like to write a sentence imagine situations create surprise construct the lost and found which can then be intwined into my music productions and performance". ̸BIOGRAPHY Filipino Producer & DJ Saint Guel. An artist to keep an eye on. Miguel Santiago aka Saint Guel basks in dance music — his being distinctly warm and clean-cut. The Filipino DJ/producer started behind the decks at 15 and tinkered with personal production two years after. Since then, he’s carefully carving his corner: an altogether irresistibly groovy one. Across his recent releases, "Caught Up" (FuFu Records) "Still Life” (More Rice Records / Thailand) and “Over and Over / For The Floor” (Transit Records / Philippines) are easily breaking through as foreseeable dance floor bangers post-pandemic. Perhaps it’s him soaking up the Manila nightlife, his frequent pilgrimage across international festivals or his inherent taste and thirst for a warbling world. Active in the music and fashion business for more than a decade, Simone de Kunovich is associated with some of Milan’s most iconic parties and clubs. His eclectic selection and unconventional taste made him one of the key figures in the local scene as well as an active Dj internationally, with gigs in Berlin, Tel Aviv, Bangkok, New York, Paris, London and more. The upcoming year is gonna see him releasing a series of EPs inspired by his studies of 60/70s European cinema on Superconscious Records, the Australian label managed by Fantastic Man and Francis Inferno Orchestra.

Teng has been playing music across a multitude of dance scenes originating in Australia across to Singapore and Hong Kong where he is now based. Teng began his journey in the rave scene of 90's Sydney Australia. Since then his love for music has driven him to explore various influences whilst helping to craft his unique style. Based in Hong Kong, Teng contributes to its thriving music scene having playing at 宀 Club, Acadana, Oma, Social Room, Salon 10, and Soho House. He has also been seen on lineups for party crews and festivals, including Shi Fu Miz, Pitch, Rezonate, Y2K and Madame. With a deep understanding of crowd dynamics and an innate ability to adapt Teng continues to play a range of diverse sets across Hong Kong.

With roots from Taiwan and Japan, Yoshi Nori cut his teeth as a DJ in Chicago around 2003. Not only was he heavily influenced by raw Chicago house sound, combination of minimal side of neo-Detroit, and renaissance of early 2000 post-punk movement shaped as foundation for his ever unpredictable DJ sets. Starting 2020 Yoshi Nori has launched a brand new label "禁 Jin". This project aims to not only introduce Taipei's local talents but also connect with secret gems in Asia's fast-rising production field while providing an injection of colorful international producer juice that can morph the various local elements into an unpredictable futuristic 4/4 sound, in a way foreshadowing what Asia is moving towards.
