He made a name for himself not only for his choice of music but for the energy he brings when playing – by championing a sound that blends Latin Rhythms, Brazilian Drums and Hip-Hop – otherwise known as the genre Baile Funk.

嶋田会希 – Elle Shimada is a violinist, producer, curator, DJ and multi-instrumentalist from Tokyo based in Melbourne. Fluidly fusing Tokyo’s futuristic underground sound with influences from London and Detroit House, Shimada’s production and live sets are a kinetic succession of dance beats and abstract compositions. Shimada has independently collaborated with a myriad of artists in Melbourne and overseas, performing and recording with Clever Austin, Paul Bender (Hiatus Kaiyote), Jace XL, Allysha Joy and Dufresne – music that can be found on releases by Worldwide FM and Stamp The Wax. With an undercurrent of feminism, cultural curiosity and a political mindset, Shimada’s musicianship been shown on stages supporting Lonnie Liston Smith, Giles Peterson and The Australian Art Orchestra.

Future soul artist Emma Volard’s genre-defying sound fuses elements of jazz harmony and broken beat with gut-wrenching lyricism to create a cosmic ether of spiritual dance music. Her music is deeply rooted in seeking justice and storytelling with political, environmental and personal undertones, as she shares her own reality and reflects upon universal truths.Through her distinct lyrical expression and incessant groove, Emma hopes to continue to provide a voice for not only her sister but a voice for change in today’s modern diaspora; a voice for those who aren’t heard.

FOURA (previously Lotus Moonchild) is Melbourne's dance music bench mark, confidently djing and producing a path through bass, electronic, garage, house and techno. FOURA’s ability as a selector for dancefloors has garnered the position as resident at Revolver Upstairs, Glamorama, Section 8 and Lucky Coq, all institutions within the city of Melbourne.

Hailing from Singapore, JPS move to Melbourne in 1999 opened up the world of Drum n Bass to him. Launching the successful Bassix, local parties with Blanco allowed him his first taste of promoting and secured his place as one of Melbourne’s most respected DJs. This led on to the establishment of Elementz, with Blanco and DJ Fletch, which is now one of Australia’s most successful DnB events teams. Elementz Sound Collective has been described many times as Australia's foremost drum n bass promotions group.

With his determination and passion for music, Charles-Eddy Vitry (Mr. Pitiful) landed his first residency in 2001 at the era-defining Parisian nightclub: Les Bains Douches, quickly making a name for himself on the Paris club scene, followed by stints in New York, Montreal and Switzerland and Australia. With a perplexing ability to mix anything from rock ‘n’ roll to electro; soul to house; acid jazz to minimal tech, Mr Pitiful has played alongside international and local artists at venues and festivals including Strawberry Fields, 161, Revolver, Toff In Town, Railway Hotel, My Aeon, Lounge, Section 8, St Jerome’s, Third Class and Glamorama.
