Based in Düsseldorf, Germany, Loco Dice is a house DJ/producer with minimal leanings who is affiliated with labels including Four:Twenty Recordings, Ovum Recordings, Cocoon Recordings, M_nus, and Cadenza, as well as the label he founded with production partner Martin Buttrich, Desolat. Born Yassine Ben Achour in Tunisia, he began his career in the early '90s as a rap MC/DJ named Dice'C. As such, he experienced some modest success in his German homeland, for instance releasing the 12" EP Coming from D-Town (1996) on Flavour Records and opening for big-name rap/R&B performers such as Snoop Dogg and Usher. In time he switched from rap to house music and changed his name to Loco Dice in the process. Mira is that rare kind of DJ whose music can immediately transport you into her world - a midnight circus in Berlin, where time loses all definition and anything becomes possible. Born in East Germany to a renowned photographer and a classical musician, she began DJing in 1996 and quickly became part of the growing underground techno scene around Leipzig and Halle/Saale. Her dedication to her craft and natural talent swiftly paid off with a series of rapid successes, leading her to substantially shape the electronic music scene of Eastern Germany from that point on. In 2006, Mira moved to Berlin, Europe’s capital of electronic music, where she found her musical home at the legendary Bar25. Situated on the banks of the river Spree with parties that lasted into the middle of the week, Bar25 was the embodiment of Berlin’s club scene in the 2000s. In the company of notable artists such as Nu, Acid Pauli, Feathered Sun and Christopher Schwarzwälder, a musical language was being formed that looked past the minimal trends of the time towards a more nuanced, organic musical language.

Inspired by the unruly conventions of UK pirate radio stations, this project captures the raw energy and diversity of the illegal airwaves and uses this as a springboard of inspiration for a series of heavyweight productions that span from the murky house through dark side techno to chaotic eye-of-the-storm hardcore/jungle tear-outs. QRTR is an electronic music producer and DJ based in Brooklyn, NY.

The German-Italian dance producer was raised in Belgium, speaks four languages, has a masters degree and has lived all over the world. He began playing the cello at the age of seven, he fell in love with dance music in his teenage years and shortly after started creating music. For much of Sacha’s early years, He spent in Berlin as a part of Robosonic, releasing music on labels such as Suara, Defected and Off, and touring the world. It wasn’t until 2012 when he release his first record “the major” on Dirtybird as Sacha Robotti, followed by releases on This Ain’t Bristol, Lost Records, Desert hearts and Insomniac Recordings. His 2017 EP on Desert Hearts Records with Mikey Lion “Ol’ Dirty Hearts” bridged the sound between Desert Hearts and Dirtybird, and May 2018 saw another collaboration between Sacha and Mikey released on the Dirtybird BBQ Compilation. London-based producer/DJ Skream (Ollie Jones) played a vital role in the development and popularity of dubstep during the 2000s. Following early collaborations with fellow genre pioneers Benga and Loefah, he released one of dubstep's most easily recognizable tracks, "Midnight Request Line," in 2005. His tracks and remixes helped shift the genre from being a darker, more minimalist form of club music to something more melodic and accessible, paving the way for its mainstream popularity by the beginning of the 2010s. Skream's biggest commercial success was his involvement as part of dubstep supergroup Magnetic Man (with Benga and Artwork), whose self-titled debut album reached number one on the U.K. dance chart. However, while primarily associated with dubstep, Skream has never limited himself to one genre, and much of his work since the mid-2010s has explored house and techno. ~ AllMusic

How does one begin to write about Tiga? Where to even start on a long road marked with notable checkpoints? What can be told that can’t be tallied in raw statis...tics (which he’s a total stickler for), or an unfurled parchment scroll of places gone and plaudits won? The duality of a life split between aspirational popstar and touring deejay falls short: by this point in time he’s lived dozens of lives, let alone a mere two. Frankly the only claim that doesn’t wash is that of being in a legacy mode – because that, to him, denotes the cardinal sin of coasting. And that just won’t do. The core engine pushing Tiga forward is ambition. It’s there, everywhere: at the dials in any given club in any given city in any given country on any given weekend; burning the midnight oil in the Research & Development wing of his career control centre, crisp shirt sleeves rolled, assessing and strategising over his next move; with his feet up on the gleaming glass desk in the penthouse office of Turbo Towers, gold plaques of decade-dominating dancefloor delights flanking him – it’s there. Self-aware, well-moderated, yet totally unrepentant ambition. Plus a bit of wit, too. To be insulated from any real backlash over a quarter-century in the game and across many different hats worn, a touch of humility and humour certainly helps it all go down easy. His goal is to dunk on people with success, but do so in a friendly way, soaring overhead with the sly wink of chutzpah (but never the nudge-nudge of solipsistic irony for irony’s sakes). To maintain pole position while swerving between all these lanes with impunity, he taps into a well-spring of regenerating desire. From the getgo Tiga has sought to not merely play a part in the culture he abandoned all life commitments for age 17, but frequently scale its heights too: Attending Berlin’s Love Parade circa ’92-95, then hearing DJ Hell drop “Sunglasses At Night” to the masses not too many years later. Giving a speech at his Montreal alma mater, then converting some of the impressionable graduates in the audience to come work at Turbo. Starting an independent label on a whim, then reaching 200 releases in a stormy industry with a higher turnover rate than Real Madrid managers. Getting hooked first on the fearless compulsion of Bowie, Reznor and Almond, then the frigid cool of Mills, Hawtin and D. James, then threading the needle consummately between these two worlds. These highwatermarks form the backbone of his pride, and in turn, fuel the self-perpetuating motion machine inside. There’s always extra room in the cockpit, mind. An army of collaborators, remixers and remixees have provided vital thrust over the years. From Alter Ego and Azari & III through Duke Dumont and Depeche Mode; from Matthew Dear and Moby, through Zombie Nation and Zdar, Phillipe; Paranoid London, Pusha T, Pet Shop Boys and Peaches.…on and on it goes. Read between the lines and you’ll get a measure of the man. Teamwork affords stimulus, shuts down ego, and juices something he can’t get to alone. At heart, it brings out the best in Tiga. So it’ll prove in 2018, where the fingers of his well-combed Rolodex currently rest on entries marked Kolsch, The Martinez Brothers, and Hudson Mohawke. The fruits of this friendly jousting with find their way out of track ID requests and into the shops before long (perhaps even by the moment you read this – hope you’re enjoying the future and remembered to short your cryptocurrency in time). It would be a lot easier to rest on his laurels by this point, really. To trade on former glories, reflect fondly on a career spent dovetailing in and out of the spotlight with likeminded friends, turning in a jaded, half-assed representation of himself at festivals and recording sessions when the taxman comes knocking. But Tiga is still too confident, self-respecting, and – how did you guess? – ambi-tious for that. The challenge he seeks is to keep experiencing the frisson of creative alchemy, to lock into a groove where he is truly in the zone, to dig deep and reproduce a fresh take on that first-love feeling of music: something that connects with young ravers and inspires the same spark he felt all those years ago. Otto Yliperttula (born October 8, 1986), known professionally by his stage name, Yotto, is a Finnish DJ, songwriter, and record producer. Currently residing in Helsinki, Finland, the 30-year-old is signed to English deep house label, Anjunadeep. Yotto came to fruition with a string of remixes and originals that caught the ear of Anjunadeep label boss, James Grant. Deemed “a man of many sounds” by Billboard and “an experimental house talent” by Dancing Astronaut, he produces a number of styles within the house music genre and sometimes other forms of electronic music. As well as his own solo releases, Yliperttula has worked alongside other DJs & producers such as Coldplay, Rüfüs, Above & Beyond, Lane 8, and Super8 & Tab. A five track EP titled ‘Stars’ was released in 2013 on The Shapeshifters Nocturnal Groove imprint by Otto and Karolus Viitala under the moniker Something Good.
